Spikeball Giveaway: Win A Free Set

February 14, 2012

With spring sports practices starting this week, it’s about time to welcome in that warm weather with some pre-club yard games. You might already have a YL cornhole set, and maybe ladder golf, but do you haveSPIKEBALL?
In November we gave away our first Spikeball set (Retail Value $50) to lucky winner and YL leader Amy Fanning, and because it’s Valentine’s day, we’re in the mood to share the love again.

I first learned of the game this past summer while at Sharptop Cove. It’s an intense mix between four square and volleyball, described on the Spikeball web site as “A taut Hula Hoop-sized net is placed at ankle level between a pair of two-player teams. You smack the palm-sized ball down on the net so it ricochets up at your opponents. They have up to three hits between them to control it and bounce it back to you. When they miss, you score. First team to 21 wins.”

The makers of Spikeball would like to offer a special discount to Young Life leaders via The Young Life Leader Blog. To purchase a discounted Spikeball set, visit Spikeball.com and enter the code “YL” during checkout. This will give you a 10% discount along with an additional set of 2 extra Spikeballs.

How Can You Win The Spikeball Set?

1. To ‘get your name in the hat’ one time, leave a comment below this post with your name, YL area, and state. (Ex: Aaron Rodgers, Greater Green Bay, WI)

2. To get your name entered an additional time, leave a comment with a suggestion for where to stop on your bus ride to summer camp on the bottom of yesterday’s post, ‘A Better Bus Ride To Camp.’

3. Entries will end on Thursday night at 9pm EST. I will then number all the entries and use Random.com to select the winner. The winner will be posted this Friday. If you win we will need you to email in your mailing address and the Spikeball set will be shipped your way!

Let the games begin…
